Read more…Bill Curd formed "Curd" in 2008 with Andy Zuckerman (guitars) and Chris Colovas (bass) in 2009 after stints with successful So. California bands Chime and Punch. What was just a "let's see where it goes" idea became an award winning, HotAC Top 40 charted project that remains as solid today as it became in 2009.
Sure, some of the faces around them have changed but Curd and Zuckerman have continued to release solid, radio friendly pop rock with catchy hooks, all on a smartly conceived timetable that presents itself just when their fans are about to call out for more.
And here, they've chosen the DropCards site as the venue to release their 2016, 4 track EP titled, "A New Life". Almost a total departure from what their fans have come to expect from them, "A New Life" is a combination of the best writing the two have done together in 9 years, Curd's best vocal work and just maybe the best playing of Zuckerman's career. And with it, you hear Zuckerman's ear for production which is fast becoming one of Los Angeles's finest.
This Anthology represents their beginning to present and you will enjoy listening to how the duo has intelligently changed their style with each release as they climb their way up the Pop Rock genre ladder.
