To create a buzz around a new flavor, Ben & Jerry’s used Dropcards to promote “Bonnaroo Buzz,” a unique flavor that gave a nod to the popular Bonnaroo Music Festival. Superfly Marketing helped to create this campaign and suggested utilizing current and past Bonnaroo musical performances as a digital reward. Ice cream and music lovers across America stopped into participating Ben & Jerry’s shops to have a Bonnaroo Buzz treat which came with a free download card. Three card versions were created, each with its own mix, so customers were given the incentive to come back for the new cards, which were distributed over a three-month period.
