The non-profit organization World Hunger Year (WHY) — an association dedicated to fighting the root causes of hunger and poverty — partnering with our good friends The Orchard, utilized our digital download platform to create a unique and intricate fundraising campaign.
Working with legendary performing artists Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire, this campaign offered three unreleased songs to users who made a donation to WHY at concert performances. Our development team also incorporated an advanced integrated donation function, which allowed users to make additional donations to WHY after the download card was redeemed.
Another creative twist in this campaign was providing visitors without a Dropcard the opportunity to make a donation and have a code for the tracks instantly emailed to them.
In addition to a microsite with data capture functionality, obtaining the user’s email address and geographic location, we created a custom widget for WHY, The Orchard, and Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire management to promote the campaign virally on various internet sites.
