The Bouncing Souls

Being based in New Jersey ourselves and having literally watched the Bouncing Souls rise from playing shows in local college classrooms to worldwide punk rock superstardom, we were super excited to work with the New Jersey natives on their 20th Anniversary download cards.

To celebrate the band’s 20th birthday, our friends at Chunksaah Records used the Dropcards platform in a totally creative and unique way. Instead of releasing an anniversary album all at once, the Bouncing Souls marked the milestone by releasing one new song on the first of the month throughout 2009.

One of the ways fans could access the songs in 2009 was by purchasing a fan club download card at a one of the Bouncing Souls’ year-long world tour shows. This fan club download card allowed users to log in every month to hear and download the new track.

This interesting application of the Dropcards platform really extended the longevity of the campaign and created additional build up and hype to an already anticipated release.
