In order to promote a few new titles in their fiction catalog, Thomas Nelson Publishing gave away a custom Dropcard packed with four introductory chapters to their books. By using a custom-sized card, they were able to fit all four book covers and additional text into the card art. Thomas Nelson’s creative team chose to use the theme, The Tension is Good throughout the card art and website based on the subject matter prominently found in the four books. When users redeemed their cards, they were presented with a custom landing page that prompted them for their name and email address. Once their data was submitted, they could download the PDF chapters. Readers who wanted to read more of the book could go to the Thomas Nelson website and purchase the full version either in paperback or a digital format.
